The Credit Manager will be responsible for the credit and collection process for all locations. Providing customer service and case management to handle in-depth customer inquiries and credit related issues. The Credit Manager handles collection activity, legal and bankruptcy issues. Optimizing company sales and reducing bad debt losses by maintaining the credit strength of the company.
Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities:
Manage all credit functions and evaluate credit risk
Manage all legal aspects of credit
Daily phone calls and communication with customers
Perform data entry and record management for all customer payments
Maintain records and management reports on bankruptcies and bad debt accounts.
Coordinate with sales to secure past due balances by appropriate means
Facilitate the resolution of discrepancies caused by over or short payments
Preparation of reports as required
Ensure all liens and bond filings are accurate and timely. Review, prepare and mail all lien/bond releases.
Verify all sales tax certificates are valid
Monitor credit limits closely with sales
Handle all returned check items and file returned checks with district attorney
Manage refunds for customers and all necessary corresponding data
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven work experience as a Credit Manager, Credit Analyst or similar role will be required.
Must possess a working knowledge of accounting and/or business procedures through adequate education (Degree in Accounting, Economics, Banking or Finance) or work experience.
Knowledge of Texas Lien Laws and a basic understanding of accounts receivable process.
Hands on experience with QuickBooks
Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational and planning skills.
Excellent customer service and solid interpersonal skills will be required for success in this position.
Ability to work under pressure with excellent analytical skills
