Responsible for assisting the Corporate Finance Manager and the Regional Finance Managers. Assist in training District Credit Personnel. Direct and support credit and branch personnel concerning credit, collection and financial matters across all Crescent companies. Act as a liaison between branches, collection agencies and customers on collection issues.
PRIMARY DUTIES: Maintain professional working relationships with corporate, district and branch personnel to help support company and branch goals.
Provide excellent customer service and timely responsiveness.
Assist Regional Finance Managers and Corporate Finance Manager with Credit Department goals, legal issues, reporting, analysis and any special projects.
Review accounts receivable aging monthly and coordinate corrective action plans as needed with District Credit Managers, Credit Managers, District Managers or any other party as required.
Process new account applications and communicate application status to the branch.
Process various credit reports and other information. Evaluate personal credit reports, corporate credit reports such as D&B, Experian, Cortera, Credit Net, financials or any other reports deemed necessary.
Explore and monitor the Internet for Crescent customer credit information, e.g. annual financials.
Generate and forward credit-related reports as requested.
Work with customers to resolve disputed and short paid invoices.
Participate in credit association meetings and provide data as needed.
Process credit inquiries from other credit grantors.
Process requests to pay Crescent via EFT/ACH.
Data entry regarding offsets on customers’ accounts.
Assist on district level with opening of new/existing accounts, setting credit lines, releasing tickets, etc. when district credit personnel is not available.
Prepare certified mail and overnight documents as needed.
Process year-end reporting.
Process request for copies of invoices to be printed from RADAR/Billtrust.
Research customer accounts to determine if final demand letters need to be sent and/or customers need to be placed on hold.
Research and assist with lien waiver requests.
Manage Lien & Bond report to ensure mechanic’s lien and bond rights are protected.
Maintain customer databases with credit information.
Act as a liaison between corporate attorney, collection agencies, various Crescent locations and customers.
Maintain professional relationships with key customers resolving problems or concerns in a prompt and efficient manner.
Continuously monitor trends/changes in customer payment patterns month to month and year to year.
Actively be involved in training for District Credit Personnel. Provide continuous training, motivation, and open lines of communication to those identifying a need.
Ensure proper documentation is on file for customers that are providing a Commercially Useful Function (CUF) in the minority business function.
Back up phone for receptionist as needed.
Attend branch/company meetings and events as required. Overnight travel may be necessary.
Adhere to all safety policies.
Maintain housekeeping as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Individual must possess strong, comprehensive computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook products). Preferred knowledge of Eclipse.
Individual must have ability to work quickly and accurately under time constraints and against deadlines.
Individual must possess interpersonal and organizational skills, strong analytical skills, be a self-starter, be detail oriented, and have the ability to communicate (verbal and written).
