OnPoint Capital, a captive equipment finance company, is seeking an Accountant to support the accounting and operations group. OnPoint Capital is the captive finance division of OnPoint Group, the leading North American provider of management and maintenance services for doors, docks, material handling and warehouse solutions with over 2,000 employees. This individual will join OnPoint Capital’s expanding team and will be responsible for recording lease transactions, general ledger reconciliation and supporting the portfolio servicing group. This individual will work closely with operations, finance, and portfolio servicing departments and will be empowered to make decisions and contribute directly to the growth of the business.
The Accountant will support OnPoint Capital’s finance and accounting group, operations, lending partners, vendors and end users to provide equipment financing and leasing solutions nationwide. The Accountant is responsible for ensuring transactions are accounted for properly as well as supporting the portfolio servicing team. The job requires attention to detail, prioritization, diligent follow up, and knowledge of accounting principles. This is a fully remote position.

Prepare journal entries for lease transactions, including lease entry, vendor payments, cash receipts and disbursements.
Enter invoices for accounts payable and prepare weekly disbursement listing.
Assist in monthly close process and reporting, including bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
Monitor and maintain a database tracking expiration of insurance coverage. Follow-up with client and agencies to obtain current insurance certificates.
Assist with accounts receivable in preparing monthly invoices, miscellaneous invoices and obtaining purchase orders for customer payments.
Assist team members with ad-hoc duties as requested, including special projects.
Provide professional and courteous customer service and respond promptly to calls and emails.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter, a team player, who is organized, accurate, detail-oriented and possesses strong analytical skills to research and interpret data. In this role, you will be responsible for various lease and loan administration duties (back office), which includes assisting equipment financing team members in the funding process, and client service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communications skills and can deal effectively and tactfully with customers and other employees, either in person or over the phone.
Detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative, fast-paced, team environment
3-5 years’ experience. Preference made for candidates with experience in the equipment leasing finance industry or a support role that included leasing/financing as an integral part of the selling process. Training opportunities are available to candidates new to the equipment finance industry.
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), SL Dynamics
